EARRINGS

DESCRIPTION FROM ELISA:  🤫 Some of you may know we did 5 DAYS OF HOOPS last week— but I saved these 3 pairs to sell together! While writing this simple caption I got a bit side-tracked, and started reading about a whole history of hoop earrings (specifically from @refinery29 @biancamnieves). From ancient Egypt, to Caesar’s Rome, to 1600s piracy, to Mexican ‘Cholas’ in SoCal, hoops are widely accepted as the best silhouette for earrings. Personally, I don’t leave the house without hoops. Every morning I choose between about 10 pairs in my collection— and while they may all be this circular style, I feel like a different person in each pair. These three above are classic: puffy, ribbed, hollow— which means they’re a statement, but feel lightweight and comfortable on your piercing. BTW vintage hollow ones are also so much more high-quality than new ones: they’re solid enough to keep from getting dented. Who could resist?
